Google is Testing Infinite Scroll in Mobile Search
Google has been spotted testing infinite scroll search results pages in mobile search.For some searches, rather than showing the usual “Next” button at the bottom of search results, there is a “See more results” button.
Matt from Search Engine Journal posted a story about a new experiment Google are testing mobile. They’re testing infinite scroll rather than the user clicking through to a new page. I don’t think this will impact your SEO strategy in any way but you never know.1
Bing is Proving the Future of AI is Now for Small Businesses
Bing launched Business Bots several months ago and is the first major search engine to do this. Bing Bots are programmed to know the answers to simple questions about a business. The business owner simply supplies answers to frequently asked questions such as hours of operation, location, menu items and more. The chatbots are engineered to understand questions and respond to those questions in natural language.
Adam shared this story on the higher visibility blog on Friday. AI is certainly a very interesting concept. With the talk of millions of jobs being replaced by robots it certainly is an interesting period we’re heading into. Bing appear to be the first mover in this space with chat bots helping small business but no doubt Google will be cooking something up! What are you concerned about with the future of AI?2

Content marketing and search engine optimization (SEO) are both titans of modern marketing, yet they’re not spoken about in the same conversation often enough.
In this article on Search Engine Land, Marcus shares how to bring SEO and content marketing together. This is an interesting post that covers a lot of objections SEO and content marketing folks will have about each discipline. I’m certainly a fan of content marketing for SEO which is why I regularly publish to my blog and share on social media.
